WHAT PRESSURE IS NEEDED?
A minimum of 30 lbs. with a maximum of
80 lbs. (average household pressure is 60 lbs.).
WILL IT REMOVE ALL CLOGS?
It will remove 90% of clogs. With the exception
of roots, rust or calcium buildup there is no drain we cannot
unclog.
HOW STRONG IS DRAIN KING?
We run less than 1/16th of a percent on
defectives. We offer a one year guarantee against splitting or
being defective in any way.
OK FOR HOMES BUT WHAT ABOUT CONDOS AND
APARTMENTS?
Our Model #157 Accessory Kit will solve
that problem. This kit contains a dual-purpose faucet adapter
and 10 ft. hose for easy inside connection to male and/or female
threaded faucets.
WILL THE PRESSURE CRACK A LINE?
With 40 lbs. recommended water pressure
there is no danger of a line cracking. There is more pressure
exerted on the forward direction (STOPPAGE) than on the walls
of the pipes. Drains are made to withstand pressures far in excess
of household water pressures.
COULD THE DRAIN KING POSSIBLY SLIDE
OUT OF THE PIPE?
All models have a patented, automatic
lock-in-valve that locks the DRAIN KING in place so that negative
back pressure will not cause the DRAIN KING to slide out of the
pipe while working. This valve works in a very unique manner.
For instance, if the stoppage will not give immediately as it
normally should, the back pressure caused by the heavy resistance
will cause the automatic lock-in-valve to close, thus shutting
off the water supply, and at the same time keeping the pressure
on the stoppage until it gives way.
DOES WATER TEMPERATURE HAVE ANY BEARING
ON THE EFFECTIVENESS?
Water temperature has no effect. We do
recommend cold water for increased life of the product.
IS THERE A POSSIBILITY OF BACK FLOW
OCCURRING?
A patented check-valve prevents any back
flow from occurring, thus protecting potable water supply.
DO YOU HAVE TO PLUG ALL OTHER OUTLETS?
Simply insert the hose and the DRAIN KING
far enough into a line that you pass any lateral vents thus preventing
water from backing up into any fixtures. Providing no laterals,
DRAIN KING can unclog a drain up to 1000 feet downline.
CAN DRAIN KING BE USED IN A TOILET ?
We do not recommend for use in toilets.
The toilet is not built to withstand pressures of any kind and
a crack in the porcelain may be worsened. |
